Australian divorce property rights – Does the law change from state to state?

Looking to find good information on divorce laws in Australia – please point in right direction.
Does it make any difference what state you live in – or what country you were originally married in (Canada)?
What is the best state to get divorced in if you are male and primary money maker?
No kids involved.
Both parties working – one makes significantly/saves more than the other.

Under the Constitution of Australia, marriage is one area which is handled by the Federal Govt, so it makes no difference which State you live in. The Federal courts – the Family Court and the Federal Magistrates Court – follow the same precedents nationwide.
